Meet the Owners

The Formal Niche is led by Courtney and Angela, two women who share decades of experience in the bridal and formalwear industry and a passion for helping people celebrate love.

Courtney has spent more over 2 decades in the bridal world, helping brides find the gown that makes them feel confident, radiant, and unforgettable. Her vision for The Formal Niche was to create a boutique where beautiful dresses could be found at accessible prices while still offering a personalized, memorable experience.

Angela brings over 2 decades of experience in bridal and formalwear, along with a deep commitment to exceptional customer service and attention to detail. Watching someone light up when they find “the one”, whether it’s the perfect dress or a favorite romance novel, remains one of her favorite parts of the job.

Together, they’ve created a space that blends bridal fashion, romance, and community.

Let me start out by saying the staff is incredible! This was the 5th shop we tried for my daughter's event. While we did not find a dress here either, it was not because of lack of inventory optiond or prices- they just simply didn't have a very specific dress. They are well organized by color and sizes. Gowns are preowned- with fair prices. We did not know they were a used boutique but it wasn't relevant either way, as all gowns were clean and appeared like new. Dressing rooms were great. We were lucky enough to witness an experience a young soon- to be bride- was having and the staff treating here with so much care and attention - there is no doubt this will now be our first stop for our daughters events in the future. A great place for prom or wedding shopping with a staff that makes it an enjoyable adventure 😊

My daughter-in-law and I came here with a pretty tight budget. We were looking for something that didn’t need much altering but still felt luxurious. We were given a private area and adorable signs to give our opinion. We tried tons of dresses and were never rushed. Courtney pulled one last dress and it was EVERYTHING the bride was looking for. We added some Stevie sleeves and a cathedral veil. We all (including the staff) held back tears. We had the perfect dress at the perfect price, alterations were affordable and quick. (We had just about two weeks before the wedding) this was the best experience! I highly recommend this place, if you want the royal treatment on a budget!

The Formal Niche staff were very helpful. They helped me try on a variety of dresses, found items within my price range, and explained different ways dresses could be altered for the perfect fit. Their bridal area was very welcoming, allowing my mom and sisters a place to ooh and ahh as I showed off each dress. I would highly recommend this store.

What a beautiful selection and wide variety of formal dresses! We purchased my wedding dress here for a fraction of the cost of a new dress and it is absolutely stunning! The staff are extremely helpful in suggestions for sizing and not pushy like other clothing stores I have been to. I definitely recommend at least taking a look. I will be back for accessories 💗
