Tip #1 - Wear or bring the undergarments you plan to wear with your dress. Most dresses have boning and cups for structure so you may not need a bra. However, if you are planning to wear shape-wear, then we suggest having that with you to try on the dresses so that you can get a true idea of what the dress will look like.
Tip #2 - Don't go overboard on your hair and make-up... and please don't get a spray tan right before you try on dresses. It is hard work trying on wedding dresses and ultimately you will end up smudging it on the dresses as you try them on. Our consignors will appreciate this too.
Tip #3 - Be open to trying on ALL the bridal styles. Let's be honest, we don't wear these fancy dresses everyday, so how do you know what style you will love on your body without trying them on? You might be pleasantly surprised, and if nothing else you know for sure what you don't like.
Tip #4 - Choose who you bring with you wisely. This is a big decision and having your hype squad with you is the only way to go! If you want to include everyone, and we know you do, in the excitement of finding "The Dress" then we suggest something like a girls brunch and dress reveal after you have found your gown, which can be super fun and low pressure. By the way, it is also okay to go wedding dress shopping by yourself.
No, we offer a large selection of new and used gowns. Our consignment gowns come to us from individuals, other boutiques and designers.
We now carry a bridal collection in store for ordering if you would prefer to order or are unable to find your dream dress within our current consignment inventory.
However, we are unable to order dresses on consignment in other sizes and they are only available for purchase off the rack.
Most gowns go with you the same day with no need to wait. Yay!!!
If you choose to order a new orderable wedding gown, then the lead time is 2 to 6 months, and we can always check to see what they have in stock!
Honestly, after a combined 25+ years we still wonder sometimes. Each designer has it's own size chart and most of them are based off of European sizing.
So.... what does that mean? You could fit into a range of sizes depending on the designer, fit & fabric, plus if you choose a previously loved gown it may have been altered. Our best suggestion is to try on different styles and sizes to see what works on your body. We are always happy to help.
We don't offer alterations in store... Trust us, you don't want us to do them for you! We are happy to provide recommendations for tailors.
*Please keep in mind that almost every dress will require some alteration in order for it to fit your body.
No, walk-ins are always welcome!
